For the sake of time, I decided to post the email that we sent to our friends and family:

Hello Friends and Family,

We’re excited to let you all know that we finally received our long awaited call from our foster agency yesterday. Our home study has been approved and filed in Atlanta. In as little as 24 hours we’ll get another phone call letting us know they have our foster children ‘ready for placement’ in our home. We’ve been preparing for this day for almost a year now, but I can’t believe it’s really here. In the days to come, please be in prayer for the following:

*that Joshua, Jesse, and Owen will adjust well to their new siblings
*that the foster children adjust well to their new home and family
*that God would heal these children of the hurts (emotional and physical) that they may have already experienced, and be able to receive love from us and the Lord.
*that Josh and I would continually rely on God for our every need and prioritize accordingly.

As a family, we’ve been praying for eleven months for these two little children that we do not yet know. We trust that, just as God knew our own children before they were even in the womb, He also knew what children would one day be placed in our home to be loved and cared for by us. We trust that He has equipped us to provide for their every need while continuing to give us strength, wisdom, and new mercies every day.

Thank you to all who have been praying with us through this process. I look forward to sending out many good reports in the days and weeks to come, and I will certainly send another email when we get the next phone call. As of right now, we still do not know whether we’ll be getting two boys, two girls, school age, a baby, etc. I guess it’s kind of like Christmas!
